Other potential commits include Seattle Mariners teammates Randy Arozarena and Andrés Muñoz, and Boston Red Sox rookie Marcelo Mayer.
Opening round games of the World Baseball Classic 2026 are scheduled to be played from March 5-11. Quarterfinals are being played March 13 and 14, with the final round beginning March 15.
The WBC championship game will be played at loanDepot Park on Tuesday, March 17.
