ESPN announced its initial 2021 Spring Training broadcast schedule, which includes four matchups during the first week of March.

The network’s coverage begins on Tuesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. PT with a matchup between the Boston Red Sox and defending American League champion Tampa Bay Rays at JetBlue Park. Play-by-play man Karl Ravech and analysts Eduardo Perez and Tim Kurkjian will provide commentary.

The schedule continues on Wednesday, March 3, at 12 p.m. PT when the Chicago Cubs host the Seattle Mariners at Sloan Park. Jason Benetti will call the action with analyst Jessica Mendoza.

Then on Thursday, March 4, at 10 a.m. PT, the Washington Nationals take on the New York Mets at Clover Park. The trio of Ravech, Perez and Kurkjian will call the game. The two clubs will also square off as part of ESPN’s exclusive MLB Opening Night coverage on Thursday, April 1.

ESPN’s coverage concludes with the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers’ matchup against the Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium on Friday, March 5 at 12 p.m. PT.

Dave Flemming will handle play-by-play duties alongside analyst Jessica Mendoza. In addition to ESPN, the game will air on ESPN Deportes. Moreover, all four games are available to stream in Spanish through the ESPN App.

Dodgers picked for only one ESPN Sunday Night Baseball game in first half of 2021

The Dodgers were selected for only one ESPN Sunday Night Baseball broadcast during the first half of the 2021 season. It comes April 25, when they face the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium. The start time is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT.

It’s possible the Dodgers will make more appearances over the course of the year, but have to wait for the network to announce their remaining schedule.

As it currently stands, the Atlanta Braves lead all teams with four ESPN Sunday Night Baseball selections thus far. The New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets are second with three of the national broadcasts.
