To celebrate the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series and a partnership with Kiké Hernandez, Vita Coco is distributing free coconut water to L.A. residents on Friday.
The Vita Coco recovery drive-thru is set up at Hollywood and Vine (6301 Hollywood Blvd.) and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until supplies last (masks are required). Fans can also collect new flavors by redeeming the offer by scanning a QR found on Vita Coco’s Twitter and Instagram posts, through Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Fans can also find a cardboard cutout of Hernández in various retailers across the city and take a selfie with it for a chance to win a year’s supply of coconut water from Vita Coco.
The Dodgers winning their first World Series since 1988 has sent the city into jubilation and also recreated that famed year, when the L.A. Lakers captured a title. The Lakers’ championship this past season was wrapped up just over two weeks prior to the Dodgers.

For Hernandez, he became a champion in his sixth season with the Dodgers. He is among their key free gents and months before reaching that point, Hernandez deemed this year a ‘Last Dance’ of sorts for the Dodgers.
He was also in a reflective mood when the team sat one win from accomplishing their goal. “We’ve been through a lot as a team. Especially the guys that have been here even longer than me,” Hernandez said prior to Game 6.
“We’ve been through a lot. If we get it done this year it’s going to feel great. Obviously everybody wants to win the World Series. That’s the goal for everybody. If we accomplish that, it’s going to be pretty special.”

Along with Hernandez, Pedro Baez, Jake McGee, Joc Pederson, Justin Turner, Blake Treinen and Alex Wood are no longer under contract with the Dodgers.
