Kiké Hernández Compares Dodgers Roster To Bad Bunny Concert

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been intertwined with Bad Bunny (born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in Puerto Rico) over recent seasons, whether it’s Freddie Freeman, Kiké Hernández or Miguel Rojas using his popular hits as their respective walk-up songs, or the artist donning the team’s cap while performing or out in public.

The Puerto Rican native has continued to top the charts since releasing “Un Verano Sin Ti” in 2022, which led to sold-out concerts on the “World’s Hottest Tour.”

Since then, Bad Bunny released two additional studio albums, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana” and “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.” All the while his songs have been ever popular within the Dodgers clubhouse and on various social media posts made by multiple players.

Now Bad Bunny’s concerts served as a reference point for Hernández, a Puerto Rican native himself, when discussing a crowded Dodgers roster, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today:

In the words of Dodgers veteran Kiké Hernández: “This roster is more full than a Bad Bunny concert.”

Hernández’s comments come from firsthand experience of seemingly needing to wait until the start of Spring Training in order to re-sign with the Dodgers.

Hernández announced his return on Sunday, and the one-year, $6.5 million contract was made official two days later. Monday represented the first day the Dodgers could begin putting players on the 60-day injured list in order to create room on their 40-man roster.

Such occurred with Gavin Stone in order for the Dodgers to re-sign Hernández. Stone is expected to miss the entire 2025 season while recovering from right shoulder surgery.

As for Hernández, he and Clayton Kershaw cap off a remarkable offseason that resulted in the Dodgers roster adding a plethora of talent as they look to defend their World Series title.

This season is Hernández’s ninth with the Dodgers.

Bad Bunny at Dodger Stadium

Coinciding with his stardom reaching new heights, Bad Bunny played in the 2022 MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers fans greeted him with loud ovations and constant cheers throughout the night despite Bad Bunny’s Team L.A. falling short.
