Kershaw’s Challenge Ping Pong 4 Purpose Makes Successful Return To Dodger Stadium

After a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the eighth annual Kershaw’s Challenge Ping Pong 4 Purpose was back at Dodger Stadium on Monday night.

With a rare off day at home, Clayton and Ellen Kershaw welcomed nearly the entire Los Angeles Dodgers roster and coaching staff, other professional athletes, celebrities and more. The night raised more than $1,000,000 for Kershaw’s Challenge 2022 beneficiaries: Shoes That Fit, The Dream Center, Arise Africa, Both Ends Believing, and International Justice Mission.

Dr. Richard Merkin and Anastasia Rybka defeated Trea Turner and Mardy Fish to win the signature event.

“We have nice trophy for you guys,” Clayton Kershaw said after congratulating Merkin and Rybka on their win. “For our winners, we have prizes for y’all. Mardy and Trea, your prizes are … thank you so much for playing.”

Rob Lowe was the master of ceremonies, and DJ Severe played the night’s music from a booth set up on the infield dirt.

Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Will Ferrell, Brad Paisley, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Mario Lopez, Aloe Blacc, Guillermo, Lamorne Morris, Justin Turner, Kourtney Turner Cody Bellinger, Will Smith, Cara Smith, Trayce Thompson, Klay Thompson, Chris Taylor, Mary Keller, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Austin Reaves, Max Greenfield, Gabriel Iglesias, Omar Miller, Zach King, Lisa Leslie, Robert Horry, Becca Tilley, Pete Wentz and Angela Kinsey were among those in attendance.

“When Justin first signed here, we noticed right away how involved they were in the community,” Kourtney said of the Kershaws. “And that really laid the groundwork for what we wanted to do in Los Angeles. We try to inspire other teammates and wives on the team to do the same thing, because they are given such a great platform, and it’s what you do with it that matters.”

Kershaw’s Challenge Back to School Bash

Prior to hosting the Ping Pong 4 Purpose event, Clayton Kershaw, his wife Ellen and their children were on hand at the Dream Center in Los Angeles for the ninth annual Back to School Bash.

They were supported by Justin and Kourtney Turner, who also work closely with the Dream Center on providing for underserved youth and veterans.
