Coinciding with Kershaw’s Challenge holding their sixth annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose event at Dodger Stadium, the foundation also announced the start of an online auction for a one-on-one pitching lesson with the Los Angeles Dodgers ace.
In addition to having an opportunity to learn from Kershaw in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, the winning bidder of the fan experience will receive two round-trip tickets on American Airlines, a two-night stay at a luxury hotel, two autographed items for each guest and one autographed Wilson authentic game model glove.
Bidding runs through Sunday, Sept. 2. Fans of all ages are eligible to take part in the pitching lesson. Bids (your name and contact information) as well as any questions can be submitted to Harlan Werner at harlan@sportsplacement.com.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will go to Kershaw’s Challenge, which Ellen and Clayton founded in 2011. Their foundation currently supports six beneficiaries in Los Angeles, Dallas, Zambia and the Dominican Republic.
At this year’s Ping Pong 4 Purpose, Kershaw’s challenge funds were raised for the Dream Center, International Justice Mission’s work in the Dominican republic, and the Just Keep Livin’ Foundation’s programs in Los Angeles.
