The first leg of the 2024 MLB World Tour will see the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres make history by playing the inaugural regular-season games in South Korea.

The Seoul Series will be held at Gocheok Skydome from March 20-21, with local start times of 7:05 p.m. (3:05 a.m. PT) for both games.

Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr. are among the stars who will play during the two-game set, giving those in attendance plenty to look forward to.

Fans will also be treated to performances by popular K-Pop groups Aespa and (G)I-DLE before the matchups.

Aespa is a girl group from South Korea comprised of four members: Giselle, Karina, Ningning and Winter. They burst onto the scene with their popular song “Black Mamba” in November 2020.

(G)I-DLE is another girl group that consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Shuhua, Soyeon and Yuqi. They formed in 2018 and have released several popular tracks, including “Latata.”

The Dodgers have previous ties to popular K-Pop group BTS as member Yoongi (also known as Suga) attended a game at Dodger Stadium in 2019 and got to meet Hyun-Jin Ryu after a complete-game shutout against the Atlanta Braves.

Gocheok Skydome renovations for Seoul Series

With the Seoul Series quickly approaching, renovations were made at Gocheok Skydome. New lights and turf were installed, while the clubhouses got a makeover as well.
