The NFL season came to a close Sunday night with Tom Brady adding to what already was an impressive legacy by leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, who were looking to win back-to-back titles.
Brady was in his 10th Super Bowl game — an unprecedented number — and won a seventh career title. With that came a fifth Super Bowl MVP Award after throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns in the Bucs’ 31-9 thrashing of the Chiefs.
Brady now has more Super Bowl titles than any franchise in NFL history, breaking a tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots who each have six. Brady also continues to alone with his five Super Bowl MVPs, ahead of Joe Montana’s three.
Furthermore, Brady went gone 18 years between his first and most recent championship MVP, which is the longest span of any athlete in American team sports history. The 43 years old drew praise throughout the night, including from Los Angeles Dodgers free agent Justin Turner.

Turner, a noted Miami Dolphins fan, has been witness and victim to plenty of Brady’s excellence during his time in the AFC.
Will the Dodgers re-sign Turner?
With just over one week until Spring Training camps are due to open, Turner oddly remains a free agent. The Dodgers have long been mentioned as having interest in re-signing Turner, but he also has drawn interest from the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers, among others.
