The Los Angeles Dodgers held their celebration for winning the 2024 World Series on Friday, beginning with a parade that started at City Hall and concluding at Dodger Stadium.

Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass officially kicked off the celebration before players boarded double-decker buses for the 45- minute parade.

The Dodgers’ World Series parade route went from 1st Street to Grand Avenue to 5th Street, and ended at the intersection of 5th and Flower Street.

It was the Dodgers’ first World Series parade since 1988. Being being able to have the traditional celebration after not doing so in 2020 was something players and the entire organization savored.

“They’re the most important franchise right now, because we needed a championship. The Dodgers needed to make this happen for the city of Los Angeles, bring us back to that championship feeling,” part-owner Magic Johnson said.

“Also to show our fanbase that we will do what it takes to win, signing Shohei. Now we get a parade, and that’s what I’m really happy for. The city deserves it. Last time, we didn’t get one. Now kids who didn’t see my era and all the other Dodger championships, they get to see this one and come to a parade.”

Once the parade concluded, players made their way to Dodger Stadium for a rally with thousands of Dodgers fans in attendance.

Television coverage of the Dodgers’ celebration was carried by SportsNet LA along with local channels CBS 2, NBC 4, KTLA 5, ABC 7, KCAL 9 and Fox 11. MLB Network also had a simulcast of the parade and rally at Dodger Stadium, in addition to the live stream above.

Radio coverage was available on AM 570.
