WATCH: Dodgers Fans Troll Astros Fan After Game 2 Of World Series

Earlier this month, Major League Baseball announced that a limited number of tickets for the National League Championship Series and World Series at Globe Life Field would be sold to the general public.

It meant that for the first time this season, there would be a live audience in the stands. With the Fall Classic being played in Texas, fans from all over the country have flocked to catch the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Tampa Bay Rays in person.

That includes supporters of other teams not in the World Series, such as the Houston Astros, who don’t have to travel far to get to Globe Life Field.

After Game 2 of the World Series, Dodgers fans had a little fun with an Astros fan, banging on a trash can in reference to the organization’s sign-stealing scandal, via Arash Markazi of The Mightier 1090:

Prior to Spring Training, the Astros were punished for electronically stealing signs during the 2017-18 MLB seasons. The club was fined, stripped of draft picks, and saw former general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch receive year-long suspensions.

The Dodgers did not mince their words when discussing the scandal earlier this year, as many players felt the Astros robbed them of a World Series championship in 2017.

The two teams met during the regular season, and it did not come without some drama, as an altercation between Joe Kelly and Carlos Correa nearly led to both benches clearing.

The Astros, despite finishing under .500, clinched a postseason berth, and took the Rays to seven games in the American League Championship Series. The club nearly stormed back from a 3-0 deficit, winning Games 4-6 before dropping the deciding Game 7.

Kershaw gave no thought to potential redemption against Astros in the World Series

Had the Astros completed the comeback, it would have set the stage for a 2017 World Series rematch against the Dodgers. Despite this scenario nearly happening, Clayton Kershaw did not entertain the possibility.

“You can’t think like that,” Kershaw said. “The Rays are a very formidable opponent. Winning the World Series is going to be special, no matter who you play; 2017 is over. We can’t go back and worry about that.

“All to say, this World Series against the Rays is what we’re prepared for now.”
