Watch: Andre Ethier Celebrates Dodgers Winning World Series

When the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 of the World Series to capture their first title since 1988, it ended decades-long worth of postseason frustrations.

Those especially began to mount over the last seven seasons. From 2013-19, L.A. won the National League West each year, but suffered three first-round exits, two losses in the NL Championship Series and two World Series defeats during that span.

A mainstay on most of those teams was Andre Ethier, who spent his entire career with the Dodgers. He retired midway through the 2018 campaign, which was less than a year removed from the club taking the Houston Astros to seven games in the World Series.

Ethier is still close to many of his Dodgers former teammates and celebrated their title in emphatic fashion at his Arizona home. Ethier joined the “This Is Our Year” special to discuss how proud he was of the team, via SportsNet LA:

Andre Ethier was all of us when the #Dodgers won! 🍾🎉

Ethier revealed during the interview that he was in attendance for Games 4 and 5 at Globe Life Field. While he returned home for Game 6, he made sure to properly celebrate the Dodgers’ World Series-clinching victory with his family.

Ethier also gave a special shoutout to Austin Barnes — a fellow Arizona State Sun Devil — for catching the final out of the World Series.

Dodgers photographer Jon SooHoo helped Ethier create lasting memory of Dodger Stadium

Earlier this year, Ethier detailed how team photographer Jon SooHoo helped him create a lasting memory and image of Dodger Stadium.

A high-resolution image of the ballpark was turned into a wallpaper for Ethier’s home batting cage, which he explained helps remind him of his career and also gives his children a glimpse at what playing at Dodger Stadium entailed.

Ethier not only has a batting cage inside his Arizona home, but also replica versions of the Dodger Stadium Ring of Honor and welcome sign, and decals for the Dodgers’ retired jersey numbers and microphones in honor of Jaime Jarrín and Vin Scully.
