Teoscar Hernández Thanks Dodgers Fans For Support During 2024 Season

Teoscar Hernández signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year contract for the 2024 season and went on to enjoy a productive campaign that ended with the team being crowned World Series champions.

An All-Star for the second time in his career, Hernández batted .272/.339/.501 with 32 doubles, a career-high 33 home runs and 99 RBI across 154 games.

The 32-year-old continued swinging a hot bat in the postseason and particularly found success against the New York Yankees. In addition to showing improvements on defense, he hit an excellent .350/.381/.550 with one double, one home run and four RBI during the World Series.

With the offseason now underway, Hernández reflected on the 2024 season and thanked Dodgers fans for their continuous support.

Hernández’s Instagram post was similar to the message he shared at the Dodgers World Series parade, thanked fans for their strong support while fighting back tears.

Hernández is now a free agent for the second consecutive offseason and figures to receive strong interest, with the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox among the teams expected to pursue him.

However, Hernández recently noted that re-signing with the Dodgers remains his top priority, and the interest is believed to be mutual.

Dodgers extended qualifying offer to Teosocar Hernández

The Dodgers extended the one-year, $21.05 million qualifying offer to Hernández for the 2025 season. He has until 1 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Nov. 19, to accept or reject it.

The expectation is that Hernández will decline the qualifying offer, but the veteran outfielder could still re-sign with the Dodgers under different terms.

If Hernández signs with another team, the Dodgers will receive a pick after the fourth round of the 2025 MLB Draft as a result of exceeding the luxury tax threshold this past season.
