In their second to final game of Cactus League play, not much more could have gone right for the Los Angeles Dodgers while their starters were in as they defeated the San Francisco Giants in a 6-4 victory. The Dodgers now have 13 wins in Spring Training to just four losses.

Tyler Glasnow made his final tuneup start before his next outing, which will come on Opening Day as part of the Seoul Series in South Korea.

The right-hander was nearly perfect throughout his outing, but a walk in the fifth inning made him settle for 5.1 no-hit innings. Glasnow also had the strikeout stuff working as eight hitters went down on strikes.

On offense, the Dodgers hit three two-run home runs to provide the run support.

The first came via Will Smith with two outs in the fifth inning with two outs and Mookie Betts on first base. That was followed by a triple from Jason Heyward and another homer from Teoscar Hernández.

All four of the runs came against Giants’ star closer Camilo Doval, so it was encouraging to see the Dodgers finding success against one of MLB’s premier relievers.

Shohei Ohtani hit the third of the home runs, which came in the sixth inning following a single from Chris Okey. All six Dodgers’ runs were scored with two outs in the inning.

Ryan Brasier came on in relief of Glasnow in the sixth inning and immediately gave up a hit to break the no-hitter, but he responded with a strikeout and got out of the inning unscathed.

Daniel Hudson worked a scoreless inning with two strikeouts despite giving up a hit as he prepares to open the season on the roster.

Evan Phillips walked a batter in his inning of work, but worked a scoreless frame as well while picking up a strikeout.

Kyle Hurt was summoned for the ninth inning and gave up a run, but he did not receive any help from his defense as Jake Gelof made two errors. He exited the game with the bases loaded and two outs following a walk.

John Rooney entered the game and gave up a bases-clearing double to cut the Dodgers lead to just two runs. He ended up recording the final out of the game with a fly out to center field.

What’s next for the Dodgers in Spring Training?

The Dodgers play their final Cactus League game of the year on Wednesday when they host the Seattle Mariners at Camelback Ranch.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to make his final start of the spring before he pitches in Game 2 of the Seoul Series. He’ll face off against Bryan Woo.

On Thursday, the Dodgers fly out to South Korea and will have two more exhibition games before their season begins.
