It looked like the Los Angeles Dodgers were heading for their third consecutive loss of Cactus League play, but an eighth inning comeback powered them to a 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. They are now 6-2-1 during their Spring Training games.

Tyler Glasnow made his second start for the Dodgers, and he was much better than his first outing. Glasnow attributed some of his previous issues to nerves, but settled in this time around.

The right-hander pitched three no-hit innings while striking out five hitters and walking one. Overall, he faced 10 hitters, just one more than the minimum.

The Dodgers got on the board first in the third inning. Chris Owings started them off with a single and a stolen base, and Shohei Ohtani capitalized by driving him in with an RBI single.

Ohtani was making his second start this Spring, and he finished his day 1-for-1 while adding two walks in his three plate appearances.

Also in the lineup for the Dodgers was Kiké Hernández in his first game since re-signing with the club. He finished his day 1-for-2 with a double while playing center field.

The Guardians rallied in the fifth inning that was started with a single and stolen base from Gabriel Arias against Nabil Crismatt. Will Brennan followed with a walk, and they executed a double steal.

David Fry drove both of them in with a two-run single, putting the Guardians up 2-1.

The Dodgers also had a pair of relievers working their way back from injury pitch in the game with Blake Treinen and J.P. Feyereisen both pitching.

Treinen pitched the sixth inning and threw a perfect inning, requiring just eight pitches. Feyereisen’s outing wasn’t as ideal as he allowed two runs on four hits in his lone inning.

He was greeted with a triple, and that was followed by a sacrifice fly put the Guardians up 3-1 in the eighth inning. Feyereisen also allowed a two-out double and a single to give the Guardians a three-run lead, before another double that didn’t come around to score after the right-hander recorded his first strikeout.

The Dodgers rallied in the bottom of the eighth inning when Drew Avans singled with one out. He was driven in by a hard-hit single from Brendon Davis to cut the Guardian’s lead to two runs.

That was followed by another single from Alex Freeland and a walk from Joe Vetrano to load the bases. With two outs, Austin Gauthier gave the Dodgers a 6-4 lead by clearing the bases with a grand slam.

Michael Petersen closed out the game with a save despite loading the bases, while Feyereisen was credited with the win.

What’s next for on the Dodgers Spring Training schedule?

The Dodgers are set to play their first split squad of 2024 with a home matchup against the Chicago Cubs and a road game with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Their game against the Cubs is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. PT, while their game on the road is set for 12:10 p.m.

Ryan Yarbrough is set to start at Camelback Ranch, facing Shōta Imanaga, while Kyle Hurt gets the ball on the road, facing off against Janson Junk.
