The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are kicking off the 2024 season by facing each other in the Seoul Series as part of the MLB World Tour. The historic matchup at Gocheok Sky Dome marks the first regular-season games ever played in South Korea.

Seoul Series tickets have long been sold out through official platforms, but a limited quantity is currently going for more than five times the face value on secondary markets.

Anticipation for the games in South Korea increased following the Dodgers’ offseason additions of Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Korea native Ha-Seong Kim are some of the other stars who will take the field at Gocheok Sky Dome.

Tyler Glasnow is starting on Opening Day and is being opposed by Yu Darvish. Glasnow is the first pitcher to start for the Dodgers on Opening Day in his inaugural season with the team since Derek Lowe in 2005.

Yamamoto is going to take the mound for the Dodgers on Thursday and the Padres are countering with Joe Musgrove. Yamamoto is just the sixth Dodgers pitcher since at least 1901 to make his MLB debut by starting in one of the team’s first two games of a season.

The Seoul Series will have a strong K-Pop presence as members of the popular group EXO are performing the Korean and American national anthems before each matchup.

Aespa and (GI)-DLE are additionally scheduled to perform prior to Games 1 and 2 of the Seoul Series, respectively.

The Seoul Series is the first leg of the 2024 MLB World Tour that also includes international series in London and Mexico City.

How to watch Dodgers-Padres Seoul Series

The Seoul Series will be televised by SportsNet LA and ESPN, though the latter is subject to local blackout restrictions in the Los Angeles and San Diego markets. Spanish broadcasts will be available on ESPN Deportes.

First pitch for both games is set for 7:05 p.m. local time and 3:05 a.m. PT. The Dodgers will be the home team in the second matchup.

How to stream Dodgers games

The Dodgers can be streamed for free to customers who subscribe to both Spectrum internet and Spectrum mobile service. Doing so will come with access to pre- and postgame coverage, live games and replays on MLB.com and the MLB app.

Current Spectrum TV customers can continue to stream Dodgers games on SportsNet LA through the Spectrum TV or Spectrum SportsNet app.
