Revised 2022 Dodgers Schedule Update: Games Against Rockies & Diamondbacks Rescheduled

With the revised 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers schedule beginning April 8 with a matchup against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, MLB has announced rescheduled games that were impacted by the lockout.

The original 2022 Dodgers schedule started with an Opening Series at home against the Colorado Rockies from March 31-April 3. Those games have now been rescheduled and spread out to be played at Dodger Stadium on July 6 and from Oct. 3-5.

July 6 was an off day for the Dodgers, but that instead marks the end of what has been expanded to a three-game series with Colorado. The changes also have L.A. closing now out the 2022 regular season with a six-game homestand against the Rockies.

Meanwhile, games from the April 4-6 series against the Arizona Diamondbacks were rescheduled for home dates on May 17 and from Sept. 19-20. That amounts to a doubleheader against the Diamondbacks on both May 17 and Sept. 20.

Monday, Sept. 19, was previously an off day for the Dodgers. L.A. still gets a break in their schedule Sept. 15 and again on Sept. 26.

First pitch for both split doubleheaders at Dodger Stadium is 12:10 p.m. PT, with the nightcap to follow at a 7:10 p.m. start time.

MLB added three days to the end of the regular season in order to play a full 162-game schedule. The Players Association (MLBPA) had suggested they would not approve an expanded postseason as part of a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) if a shortened season was played.

2022 Dodgers home opener

In losing the first week of the regular season, the Dodgers are opening on the road for a second consecutive year. They won’t take the field at Dodger Stadium until Thursday, April 14, for the start of a four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.

While the Dodgers traditionally have an afternoon start for their first game of the season at Dodger Stadium, first pitch for the 2022 home opener is remaining 7:10 p.m.
