The Boston Red Sox finalized their 25-man roster for the 2018 World Series, making one change in adding southpaw Drew Pomeranz to a core that consists of 11 pitchers and 14 position players.

Pomeranz replaces right-hander Brandon Workman, who was previously included on both the American League Division and Championship Series rosters.

Pomeranz has yet to pitch in the 2018 postseason, but struggled mightily during the regular season to the tune of a 6.08 ERA, 5.43 FIP and 1.77 WHIP over 74 innings pitched (26 games, 11 starts). The 29-year-old owns a career 9.53 ERA in 5.2 playoff innings.

Workman has faced similar woes in the postseason, allowing a combined five runs in one inning of work this October (three appearances). Given the Dodgers’ struggles against left-handers thus far, it makes sense that the Red Sox opted to include an extra left-hander in Pomeranz on their World Series roster.

Chris Sale is opposing Clayton Kershaw in Game 1 at Fenway Park on Tuesday, followed by David Price in Game 2 on Wednesday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora has yet to formally announce the rest of the club’s starting rotation for when the World Series shifts to Dodger Stadium.

Complete breakdown of the Red Sox’s World Series roster included below. Players are listed alphabetically in each position group.

Starting pitchers (4): Nathan Eovaldi, Rick Porcello, David Price, Chris Sale

Relief pitchers (7): Matt Barnes, Ryan Braiser, Heath Hembree, Joe Kelly, Craig Kimbrel, Drew Pomeranz, Eduardo Rodriguez

Catchers (3): Sandy Leon, Blake Swihart, Christian Vazquez

Infielders (7): Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers, Brock Holt, Ian Kinsler, Mitch Moreland, Eduardo Nunez, Steve Pearce

Outfielders (4): Andrew Benintendi, Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., J.D. Martinez
