For a second time in as many years, Pink’s Hot Dogs is showing their support for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series by going blue. It’s only the second time in 79 years the famed stand has changed from their traditional white and pink colors.

Coinciding with the temporary change, Pink’s is offering a special “Blue’s” hot dog until the World Series culminates. It’s a bacon chili cheese dog that’s specially priced at $4.88, which represents over $2 in savings. Moreover, Pink’s contributed $3,000 to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

Other local establishments who have gotten behind the Dodgers and some even entered into friendly bets with locations in Boston. One that is showing solidarity is Dino’s Chicken, who has Dodgers signage up.

Umami Burger is celebrating the Dodgers reaching the postseason and World Series with their annual “Game Day” promotion. Fans who purchase a burger at an Umami location in Los Angeles on game day will receive a free half order of their signature thin French fries.

Meanwhile, Grand Central Market has a bet with Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Should the Red Sox win, Grand Central Market will make tacos in Boston. If the Dodgers win, culinary artists from the Quincy Market Food Colonnade will bring baked beans and clam chowder to Los Angeles.

There’s also a sweets element to the World Series, with Sidecar Doughnuts and Kane’s Donuts setting a friendly wager. If the Dodgers win, Kane’s will deliver Boston cream doughnuts. However, a loss win means Sidecar will provide a doughnut at their Santa Monica location to a Red Sox fan that visits the location after the World Series concludes in their team’s garb.

Per usual, politicians have also become involved. Senators Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein have come together and are opposite Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren.

Hey, @SenWarren and @SenMarkey: @SenFeinstein and I are ready to make you a World Series bet. Looking forward to a @Dodgers victory and a bowl of clam chowder! #LADetermined https://t.co/iuXTN7jit7

— Kamala Harris (@SenKamalaHarris) October 23, 2018

Odds are stacked against the Los Angeles representatives as the Dodgers head into Game 3 of the World Series facing a two games to none deficit.
