The 2015 season saw the Los Angeles Dodgers win at least 90 games and a National League West division title for the third consecutive year.

However, Los Angeles was unable to advance beyond the National League Division Series a second season in a row, and their World Series drought has now reached 27 years.

Despite failing to even reach the NL Championship Series, a managerial change, and a potential free-agency dilemma with Zack Greinke, the Dodgers are the favorite to win the 2016 World Series with 8-1 odds, according to sportsbook.ag.

The Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals are tied for second-best World Series odds at 10-1.

The Nationals entered the 2015 season as a heavy World Series favorite, though ended the year in disappointment with an 83-79 record that cost manager Matt Williams his job.

The Dodgers are a 7-2 favorite to win the NL pennant, followed by the Cubs, Mets and Nationals, who are tied with 9-2 odds. The Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals are the next favorite to win the NL, with 12-2 odds.

Newly minted Miami Marlins manager Don Mattingly now leads a club with 600-1 odds to win the World Series, and 300-1 odds to win the NL. While facing a deck stacked against them, the Marlins are not at the bottom of the totem pole in either category.
