With the start of the 2020 Major League Baseball season delayed at least until the middle of May — and likely June — all games from the past two years are streaming for free on MLB.TV. The league seemingly took a page from the NBA, who unlocked League Pass to all.

The MLB.TV archives from the 2018 and ’19 seasons include the postseason, which amounts to fans having access to more than 4,500 games. Furthermore, the MLB Vault page on YouTube is also streaming games in their entirety for free.

Whereas MLB.TV offers more recent content, the MLB Vault channel features a wide range of the greatest games in the sport’s history.

Classic Los Angeles Dodgers games available on YouTube include Kirk Gibson’s walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series and Max Muncy’s walk-off home run during the 2018 Fall Classic.

Also available in the MLB Vault are Clayton Kershaw’s no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies in 2014, the Dodgers clinching the National League West in 2016 on Vin Scully’s final home game, Kershaw’s save in Game 5 of the NL Division Series and more.

The streams should help fill a void that is expected to last at least several more weeks. Upon first delaying the start of the season to April 9, MLB has since banned all gatherings of 10 or more people through May 10 in response to recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Given that timeline, players presumably will require a second Spring Training. Even if kept to a shorter length than what is usually traditional for camps, the regular season may very well not begin until June.

And even that projection is a best-case scenario. MLB has not identified a target date to begin the season, but the hope remains teams will manage to play a full 162 games worth.
