How To Watch Cardinals-Dodgers On Apple TV+ For Free

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on Apple TV+ Friday night for their first time of the 2023 season as a six-game homestand begins. The series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals won’t be televised by SportsNet LA and is only available via live stream.

Los Angeles Angels broadcaster Wayne Randazzo is handling play-by-play for the stream, and he’s being joined by analyst Dontrelle Willis and reporter Heidi Watney. Willis is in his second season as a Dodgers analyst for SportsNet LA.

Friday’s game is going to feature a new wrinkle in that Apple TV+ will utilize a drone camera to provide aerial shots of Dodger Stadium.

“Friday Night Baseball” is in its second year of a streaming rights agreement with MLB.

The Dodgers had four games on Apple TV+ during the inaugural 2022 season, beginning with their Jackie Robinson Day matchup against the Cincinnati Reds. They were on the streaming service again last June and twice in September, including for a matchup against the Cardinals when Albert Pujols hit the 699th and 700th home runs of his career.

“Friday Night Baseball” programming this season includes pregame and postgame coverage, with hosts Lauren Gardner and Sierra Santos, analysts Xavier Scruggs and Matt Joyce, and journalist Russell Dorsey. Former umpires Brian Gorman and Dale Scott also are part of Apple TV+ streams to help explain new MLB rules.

How to watch Dodgers games for free on Apple TV+

“Friday Night Baseball” games are available to fans with internet access across devices where Apple TV+ can be found, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HD, and on tv.apple.com, along with smart TVs, gaming consoles and cable boxes.

One change from the first season of “Friday Night Baseball” is that fans now need to have a paid subscription to Apple TV+ in order to watch MLB games.

However, Apple is offering a two-month free trial for the streaming service to new and qualified returning subscribers.
