The Los Angeles Dodgers became back-to-back World Series champions by defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in a thrilling Game 7 at Rogers Centre.
The Dodgers fell into an early three-run deficit and also trailed 4-2 when the eighth inning began. Max Muncy’s solo home run cut their deficit in half and marked the start of an impeccable comeback win in extra innings.

After the team was presented with the commissioner’s trophy and Yoshinobu Yamamoto was named World Series MVP on a makeshift stage set up in the infield, the Dodgers went into the visiting batting cage for the customary beer and champagne celebration.
Prior to players dousing each other in jubilation, manager Dave Roberts addressed the team to express his gratitude and amazement at what they accomplished.

Roberts then turned the floor over to Clayton Kershaw, who offered similar sentiments and noted he especially was grateful to win a third World Series before retiring.

Kershaw again participated without wearing protective goggles so he could feel the “burn” and with what seemingly became his patented look — sans shirt. That remained the case even when the future Hall of Famer joined the MLB on Fox set after the celebration.

While Kershaw was reveling in a third championship, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow were among those basking in a first World Series. During an interview on SportsNet LA, the two pitchers made reference to previously falling short against the Dodgers in the 2020 World Series.
