The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation held their third annual Blue Diamond Gala on Thursday night at Dodger Stadium. The foundation’s primary focus is to support cornerstone programs in Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy and Health + Wellness benefitting children and families in need throughout the greater Los Angeles region.
The off day provided players with an opportunity to spend time with their significant others Cody Bellinger, Adrian Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig, Corey Seager and Justin Turner were among those in attendance. Former Dodgers Nomar Garciaparra, Orel Hershiser, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Fernando Valenzuela were also on hand.
After walking the blue carpet, dinner awaited the attendees, followed by a mini concert. Several of the current, and younger Dodgers shared manager Dave Roberts’ excitement in watching Maroon 5 perform from a stage that was set up on the outfield grass.
Prior to the popular group playing their hits, the iconic Earth, Wind & Fire took the stage for a performance of their own.
