When it was all said and done, Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Julio Urias had his first career Major League win, hit and RBI. It didn’t come easy, with Urias issuing a career-high six walks, and the Dodgers needing to hang on for a 6-5 victory.

The six walks exceeded the five combined walks he had in his previous five outings. Although the young left-hander put plenty of Milwaukee Brewers on base, he limited the damage to just two runs.

What’s more, Urias had six strikeouts on 100 pitches over six innings, both of which were career highs. One of the walks Urias issued was to leadoff man Jonathan Villar in the bottom of the first inning.

Villar leads the Majors with 26 stolen bases, but was picked off by Urias. However, the Brewers successfully challenged the out call.

Villar didn’t last long on first base as Urias picked him off for good before throwing another pitch:

Tuesday’s game marked the fourth consecutive start for Urias with a pickoff, which has him tied for the Major League lead. Including time in the Minors, Urias has a total of nine pickoffs over 11 starts this year. He had six pickoffs in 16 outings with Double-A Tulsa last season.
