Dodgers Video: Joc Pederson, Scott Van Slyke And Willie Calhoun Hit Back-To-Back-To-Back Home Runs

On Friday, Joc Pederson began what Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said is an “open-ended” rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Pederson is working to return from a sprained neck and concussion sustained more than two weeks ago.

Pederson started in center field and played five innings. He went 1-for-3 with a home run to enter field. That was the start of back-to-back-to-back home runs for Oklahoma City.

Scott Van Slyke followed with a line-drive home run that hit off the foul pole in left field, and Willie Calhoun crushed a homer that cleared the bullpen in right field.

The home run was Van Slyke’s first in 23 games with Oklahoma City this season. He’s batting .278/.416/.389 with five doubles and three RBI.

Calhoun is hitting .293/.341/.540 with 11 doubles, three triples, 12 home runs and 29 RBI in 55 games. He trails only O’Koyea Dickson (15) for the team lead in home runs.

While there were plenty of offensive highlights in Oklahoma City’s 12-6 win over the Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers affiliate), Alex Verdugo also contributed with his arm in the third inning.

After catching a fly ball, Verdugo fired a strike to home plate to complete an inning-ending double play.

Verdugo went 1-for-3 with an RBI single.
