The Los Angeles Dodgers fell behind in the first inning to the Detroit Tigers, because of consecutive RBI doubles Rich Hill allowed, but quickly erased their deficit and went on for an 8-5 victory. The comeback win was the Dodgers’ 39th this season and they improved to 15-3 in Interleague play.

Yasmani Grandal led off the second inning with a walk and two batters later Adrian Gonzalez doubled to put two runners in scoring position with one out. The double came in Gonzalez’s first at-bat off the 60-day disabled list.

Logan Forsythe followed with an RBI single to cut the Dodgers’ deficit in half. Chris Taylor delivered a two-out RBI double to tie the game, and Corey Seager’s two-run single put Los Angeles ahead.

The second inning marked the start of a big night from Forsythe, Taylor and Seager. Forsythe’s leadoff walk in the fourth was cashed in by Joc Pederson on an RBI double.

Taylor found the same spot in center field that Pederson did, hitting a second RBI double on the night. Two batters after leading off the sixth inning with a double, Forsythe advanced to third on Taylor’s base hit to left field.

Seager’s sacrifice fly extended the Dodgers’ lead to 7-3. Taylor finished with a game-high four hits, his third four-hit game of the season, and was second on the team with two RBI. Seager was just 1-for-4 but tied with Justin Upton for a game-best three RBI.

Forsythe went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a double, one RBI and one walk.
