Having absorbed multiple injuries this season to their starting rotation and crop of outfielders, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been mentioned in multiple trade rumors that would address both areas of their roster.

In terms of outfielders, scenarios the Dodgers have reportedly pursued have centered around left-handed sluggers. The group of names includes, Cincinnati’s Jay Bruce, Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez, and Oakland’s Josh Reddick.

Of the trio, Los Angeles has most often been linked to Bruce. He’s been the subject of previous trade rumors, and is again garnering plenty of interest from multiple club’s prior to Monday’s non-waiver deadline.

According to Shannon Drayer of ESPN 710 Seattle, the Dodgers’ search for an outfielder has grown to include Seth Smith of the Mariners:

Miley traded today, another lefty could be on the move tomorrow. Hearing the Dodgers have interest in Seth Smith.

— Shannon Drayer (@shannondrayer) August 1, 2016

Smith is batting .267/.362/.435 with 10 doubles, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs, a .348 wOBA, 120 OPS+ and 122 wRC+ in 86 games this season. The 33-year-old has logged 37 games in right field and 32 in left.

Although in his second season with the Mariners, Smith has spent six of 10 Major League seasons in the National League West; playing with the Rockies from 2007-11, and San Diego Padres in 2014.

He was acquired by the Mariners in a December 2014 trade sent right-handed reliever Brandon Maurer to the Padres. Smith’s contract includes a $7 million club option and $250,000 buyout for 2017.
