Dodgers Re-Sign Miguel Rojas To One-Year Contract

The Los Angeles Dodgers re-signed Miguel Rojas to a one-year, $5.5 million contract for the 2026 season.

Rojas represents the first signing this offseason for the Dodgers as the veteran infielder returns to serve as a bench piece for the roster.

The soon-to-be 37-year-old is entering his fourth season with the Dodgers since being re-acquired from the Miami Marlins prior to the 2023 season. During his three most-recent seasons with the Dodgers, Rojas has hit .259/.313/.372 while seeing time at all four infield positions and on the mound.

Rojas made his MLB debut with the Dodgers back in 2014, but spent 2015-2022 with the Marlins. Over his 12-year MLB career, Rojas has hit .260/.314/.262 with 57 home runs, 363 RBI and 434 runs scored.

The two-time World Series champion is also one of the key leaders in the clubhouse, which seemingly was a factor in the Dodgers making it a priority to re-sign Rojas.

During the 2025 season, Rojas was honored for the second consecutive year as the Roy Campanella Award winner, which is annually given to the Dodgers player who best exemplifies the spirit and leadership of the late Hall of Fame catcher.

Dodgers uniformed personnel votes for the winner who’s deemed the “Most Inspirational Dodger.”

“It means a lot,” Rojas told DodgerBlue.com of the honor. “I take a lot of pride in what my teammates and the guys around the clubhouse think about me, and I always say that I’m a server in baseball. I’m here to do whatever is necessary to win.”

Rojas, of course, also established himself as a Dodgers World Series hero with his game-tying home run in Game 7 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Miguel Rojas retiring after 2026 season

Rojas previously stated his intention to retire following the 2026 season, and he hoped his final year would come with the Dodgers.
