With the 16th annual Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game scheduled to be played Sunday at Sloan Park, fans have the opportunity to vote on who gets the final roster spot for the American League and National League.

The Fall Stars Game will be televised by MLB Network, with first pitch set for 1 p.m. PT. To vote, fans can visit this link. Voting ends Friday at 9 a.m. PT.

Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Jose Ramos is one of four Minor Leaguers vying for the last roster spot on the NL roster, along with the Atlanta Braves’ Cal Conley and Justyn-Henry Mallory, and the San Francisco Giants’ Luis Matos.

The final roster spot for the AL will be decided between the Tampa Bay Rays’ Mason Auer, Oakland Athletics’ Zack Gelof, Seattle Mariners’ Robert Perez Jr. and Houston Astros’ Will Wagner.

Ramos, the No. 8 ranked prospect in the Dodgers organization according to MLB Pipeline, is batting .286 with 16 hits and nine RBI in 14 Fall League games for the Glendale Desert Dogs.

The 21-year-old hit a combined .249/.339/.479 with 22 doubles, 25 home runs and 97 RBI while playing for the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes.

Ramos was one of seven Dodgers prospects included on the Desert Dogs roster, joined by Hyun-il Choi, Tanner Dodson, Ben Harris, Emmet Sheehan, Jorbit Vivas and Andy Pages.

Jose Ramos & Andy Pages pushed each other to improve

When the Dodgers signed Ramos out of Panama in 2018, he was compared to Pages, who the team signed out of Cuba during the same season. Pages immediately made his professional debut that year, whereas Ramos didn’t play in North America until 2019.

After hearing of the comparisons to Pages, Ramos took them as a compliment and tried to emulate his game. The two are now close friends and often push each other to improve through competition.
