Just under two weeks ago Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and pitcher Zack Greinke were named finalists for a 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove Award at their respective position.

On Tuesday, Greinke was announced among the Gold Glove winners. Gonzalez lost out to Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Dodgers first baseman has won four Gold Gloves in his career with all but one coming in the National League — 2008 and 2009 with the San Diego Padres, 2011 with the Boston Red Sox and 2014 with the Dodgers.

Gonzalez tied for fifth in the NL with a .996 fielding percentage, which ranked 14th overall. His 10 defensive runs saved trailed only Goldschmidt’s 18 for best in the Majors at first base.

Greinke’s Gold Glove Award is the second in as many years. He was pitted against Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Gerrit Cole, and for Greinke it’s a second career Gold Glove.

What’s more, Greinke is the first Dodgers player to win a Gold Glove Award in consecutive years since first baseman Steve Garvey did so from 1974-77.

He finished the season with 19 putouts, 41 assists, two errors and two double plays in 62 chances over 222.2 innings pitched.

Greinke’s .962 fielding percentage ranked 32nd among qualified pitchers this season, though per FanGraphs, his nine defensive runs saved led all NL pitchers and trailed only Houston Astros lefty Dallas Keuchel’s 13 DRS.

Greinke can add to his collection of awards as he is one of three finalists for the NL Cy Young. The winner will be announced Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. PT.

Greinke can become the first pitcher since Clayton Kershaw in 2011 to win both the Cy Young and Gold Glove in the same year.
