Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig has been one of the most polarizing figures in all of baseball since his memorable call-up in June 2013. Puig’s tantalizing talent and flare simultaneously made him a fan-favorite and recipient of criticism.

The 26-year-old has been through a lot of ups and downs in his Dodgers career, but this season has primarily been a positive one. With less than one week until the non-waiver trade deadline, Puig’s name has yet to surface in speculation.

That’s in stark contrast to last year the Dodgers attempted to trade Puig and when they were unable to, demoted him to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

While it presumably is not due to a potential trade, Puig recently put his Sherman Oaks home for sale, via Neal J. Leitereg of the LA Times:

Yasiel Puig, slugging outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has put his home in Sherman Oaks on the market for $2.3 million.

The house is the same one that was burglarized in March, as $170,000 worth of jewelry and other items were taken. Puig purchased the home in 2015 for $1.8 million.

Puig is not set to hit free agency until 2020, having signed a seven-year deal with the Dodgers after defecting from Cuba in 2012.

The one-time All-Star is on pace to set career highs in nearly every hitting category, as he launched his 19th home run of the season in Wednesday night’s win over the Minnesota Twins. That matches Puig’s most homers hit, which was set in his rookie year.

Overall this season, Puig is batting .256/.329/.472 with 11 doubles, 50 RBIs, 46 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. In addition to home runs, he’s also tied a career high in stolen bases. This has all come with Puig continuing to play exceptional defense in right field.
