The Los Angeles Dodgers reassigned Steve Geltz, Trevor Oaks and Yaisel Sierra to Minor League camp, after Saturday’s win over the Oakland Athletics. Los Angeles now has 43 players remaining in big league camp, excluding Yimi Garcia who is on the 60-day disabled list.

Among that group, Cody Bellinger, Charlie Culberson, Ike Davis, O’Koyea Dickson, Tyler Holt, Brandon Morrow and Bobby Wilson represent the non-roster invitees still in camp with the Dodgers.

Geltz joined the organization on a Minor League contract last December. He went 1-0, yielded a 3.68 ERA and had eight strikeouts to three walks in 7.1 innings across eight Cactus League appearances. The 29-year-old last pitched Friday, allowing one run on two hits in 0.1 innings.

Oaks, who was in his second big league camp, made consecutive starts after three relief appearances. Though, Oaks’ first start came in a exhibition game against World Baseball Classic semifinalist Team Japan.

The right-hander put together a strong showing and had only allowed one unearned run over 10.2 innings across four games. He was roughed up a bit by the Arizona Diamondbacks, surrendering three runs, all earned, in 3.2 innings.

Oaks figures to open the 2017 season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He joined the affiliate last season, but had his year cut short due to a groin injury. Prior to that point, the 23-year-old was 5-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 10 starts for OKC.

This spring was a bit of a bounce-back performance by Sierra, who signed for six years and $30 million out of Cuba last February. Sierra struggled as a starter and was removed from the 40-man roster in July.

Pitching exclusively in relief, Sierra sported a 3.65 ERA and 1.62 WHIP. Of note, the 25-year-old issued nine walks to seven strikeouts over 12.1 innings pitched in six Cactus League games.
