The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned Rob Segedin, and reassigned Cody Bellinger, Ike Davis, O’Koyea Dickson, Tyler Holt and Brandon Morrow to Minor League camp following Wednesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners. Charlie Culberson was reassigned Wednesday morning, and the Dodgers are now down to 34 players in big league camp.

The Dodgers broke camp and now return to California for a three-game exhibition Freeway Series prior to opening the 2017 regular season against the San Diego Padres. They do so with their rotation and bullpen seeming set, amid news of Brandon McCarthy being named the fourth starter.

Bellinger appeared in 27 Cactus League games and hit .196/.277/.321 with one double, two home runs, nine RBI, 17 strikeouts and nine walks. Along with playing first base, Bellinger logged time at all three outfield positions. The bulk of it came in right field, where he played 15 innings.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts often raved about the 21-year-old, going so far as to say Bellinger is a Gold-Glove caliber first baseman.

Davis, signed to a Minor League contract in January, appeared in 10 games. He left the Dodgers for a brief stretch to join Team Israel in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. The veteran first baseman had three hits, one RBI and two walks in 22 at-abts with the Dodgers.

Dickson hit .205/.279/.410 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI in 25 Cactus League games. He played eight games at first base and 11 in left field.

Holt went 3-for-4 Wednesday with a double and one RBI to finish batting .375/.468/.475 in Cactus League play.

On Tuesday, Roberts confirmed Morrow would not make the club’s Opening Day roster. The right-hander accepted a role with Triple-A Oklahoma City and was paid a $100,000 retention bonus.

Morrow allowed six runs (five earned) on 11 hits in 9.1 innings, which amounted to a 4.82 ERA. Despite the inflated ERA across 11 Cactus League appearances, the Dodgers were encouraged by Morrow’s showing this spring. He signed a Minor League deal with the team in January.

Segedin was another of the Dodgers who left camp for the WBC, representing Team Italy. He was equally impressive in the tournament and Cactus League. In 15 games with the Dodgers, Segedin batted .406/.441/.844 with five doubles, three home runs and six RBI.
