With the Los Angeles Dodgers enjoying yet another successful season that includes an eighth consecutive National League West title, it is hardly a surprise to see the team well-represented among the best-selling jerseys, led by Mookie Betts at No. 1.

It’s the first time in Betts’ career he is finishing a season with the most popular MLB jersey. Much of that can of course be attributed to changing teams for the first time. Fans were further incentivized to purchase a Betts Dodgers jersey with the team signing him to a 12-year contract extension on the eve of Opening Day.

Of course, the perennial All-Star has since proceeded to put together another impressive campaign. On top of his MVP-caliber season on the field, Betts has established a strong presence in the clubhouse and lent his advice to the likes of Austin Barnes and Zach McKinstry, among others.

Immediately following Betts on the list of most popular jerseys are New York Yankees All-Star Aaron Judge and former MVP Bryce Harper. The Dodgers are additionally represented by Cody Bellinger (No. 6) and Clayton Kershaw (No. 9) in the top 10.

The list is based on jersey sales from MLBShop.com since Opening Day.

Bellinger and Kershaw have both placed among the most popular jerseys since the 2017 season. However, last year was the first time in several seasons Kershaw fell out of the top 10; he placed 12th after ranking No. 4 in 2017 and ’19.

Kershaw is enjoying a bit of a renaissance season this year, must of which has been a byproduct of being healthy. He did miss Opening Day because of back discomfort, but has pitched to an ace level and avoided the injured list since returning.

Bellinger’s 2020 season has been a bit of a mixed bag, though the reigning National League MVP has begun to come on as of late. Bellinger had the 16th most-popular jersey his rookie season, then 15th in 2018, and No. 3 last year.

MLB and Major League Baseball Players, Inc. began releasing jersey sales rankings in 2010.
