Dodgers News: Max Muncy Ranks Third After First NL Final Vote Update

The first Major League Baseball All-Star Game Final Vote update was released on Tuesday morning, and Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy ranks third in the National League.

He trails Jesus Aguillar of the Milwaukee Brewers and Brandon Belt of the San Francisco Giants and is ahead of Trea Turner of the Washington Nationals and Matt Carpenter of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Muncy came out of nowhere for the Dodgers this season to be under All-Star consideration. He is currently hitting .266/.407/.601 with 20 home runs and 38 RBI in 68 games. He is among the league leaders in all of baseball in both home run rate and walk rate.

If Muncy does get voted in, he will join outfielder Matt Kemp and closer Kenley Jansen on the NL roster. Kemp was voted in by the fans to be a starter in the game.

The Dodgers have teamed up with the New York Yankees this year as their slugger, Giancarlo Stanton, is on the American League Final Vote ballot. He also currently ranks third behind Jean Segura of the Seattle Mariners and Andrew Benintendi of the Boston Red Sox.

If Muncy is going to be voted into the game then Dodger fans are going to need to keep voting, as they did for Justin Turner last season when they broke the Final Vote record. You can vote for both Muncy and Stanton HERE.
