The month of September has been a mixed bag for Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig. On one hand, he ranks near the top in many statistical categories among National League hitters with a minimum of 50 plate appearances.

But off the field, Puig has been the target of repeated attacks on his home. Earlier this month, two men attempted to break through a door at his house, to which the 27-year-old was able to fend them off by simply yelling.

Another incident occurred last week when Puig’s home was again burglarized for a fourth time dating back to the start of 2017. Though, the latest attempt took place while Puig was away from the property.

While Puig was able to stay out of harm’s way, the latest burglary, unfortunately, cost him roughly $10,000 in damages after three men displaced a safe, per The Associated Press:

Burglars caused $10,000 worth of damage to Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig’s home while attempting to steal a safe. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspects broke into Puig’s San Fernando Valley home Tuesday night. They ransacked the residence, found a safe in the second-floor master bedroom, and dragged it downstairs to the front door.

Last year, an estimated $170,000 in jewelry was taken from Puig’s home over the span of two separate robberies. At the time of those incidents, he was relieved that no one was home and that only material items were stolen.

While Puig has to be frustrated with what has taken place this time around, he can once again take solace in the fact that nobody was hurt during these heinous acts.
