Dodgers News: Jonas Never Painted Joe Kelly Mural From World Series Ring Ceremony

Prior to their home opener against the Washington Nationals last Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their 2020 World Series championship with a ring ceremony and banner unveiling.

Among the players on hand to receive their ring was Joe Kelly, who currently is on the 10-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation.

The right-hander kissed his ring before posing for a photo with a pouty look on his face, which many recall from his exchange with Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa. Kelly has been an outspoken critic of the organization for illegally stealing signs during their championship 2017 season.

Artist Jonas Never captured the moment in the form a new mural he shared on Instagram:

Never painted the mural at the Baby Blues BBQ location in Venice. He has become renowned for his artwork throughout the Los Angeles area, with a tribute to Chadwick Boseman — saluting his role as Jackie Robinson in “42” — among his latest work.

Never previously painted a mural of Kelly doing his pouty face expression on the side of Floyd’s Barbershop in Silverlake last year, and it drew an appearance from the Dodgers relief pitcher and his family.

More recently, Never painted a portrait of Clayton Kershaw raising his arms up in the air after the Dodgers won the World Series, which was gifted to the left-hander for Christmas.

FOCO releases limited edition Dodgers bobbleheads of Kelly, Smith & Lasorda

The Dodgers winning the 2020 World Series has been celebrated by FOCO with a series of limited-edition bobbleheads, including Kelly, Will Smith and Tommy Lasorda.

The Kelly bobblehead is a three-foot version and numbered out of 20. He fittingly is depicted doing his pouty face expression that went viral.
