ESPN announced the Sept. 20 contest between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants will be nationally televised on ESPN2 without local blackouts. It’s the third time this season the Dodgers and Giants will play in front of a national audience.

The 7 p.m. PT start is the second of a pivotal three-game series between the longtime rivals. As it stands, the probable pitchers are Rich Hill and Johnny Cueto, who are slated to duel for the second time since the All-Star break.

For Hill, it presumably will be his fourth start with the Dodgers. He spun six shutout innings against the Giants on Aug. 24, which was also his debut Dodgers.

Cueto is 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA in four starts against Los Angeles this season. He allowed one run on four hits, had six strikeouts and suffered a tough-luck loss in last month’s meeting.

The Dodgers currently hold a lead in the National League West division and begin their series against the Giants on the heels of a season-long 10-game road trip. The three-game set at Dodger Stadium next week is the first of two remaining series between the Dodgers and Giants.

They’ll close out the regular season with a three-game set at AT&T Park from Sept. 30-Oct. 2. Both clubs have aligned their starting rotations so that Clayton Kershaw and Madison Bumgarner duel, Hill and Cueto face off, and Kenta Maeda and Matt Moore also pitch in both series.
