Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez hit the 300th home run of his career in Sunday’s series finale against the Boston Red Sox. He’s the 11th active player in the Majors with at least 300 homers.

Gonzalez’s homer was his 10th home run this season and extended the Dodgers’ lead to 7-5 in the seventh inning. It’s Gonzalez’s second home run since Boston traded him to Los Angeles in August 2012.

Gonzalez also becomes the seventh active player to reach 300 homers and 400 doubles in a career. He joins Carlos Beltran, Adrian Beltre, Miguel Cabrera, David Ortiz, Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez.

The five-time All-Star has hit at least 22 home runs in each of the past three seasons with the Dodgers. He clubbed a career-best 40 home runs with the San Diego Padres in 2009.

Duke Snider is the Dodgers’ all-time leader with 389 career home runs. Andre Ethier is the leader amongst active players still with the club, with 159 career homers.

A total of 140 players have hit 300 home runs in their career. Included in that are 26 who at one point played for the Dodgers, with four reaching the milestone in a Dodgers uniform.
