Going into the 2017 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers collectively had one goal in mind: get to the World Series for the first time since 1988 and win it.

Everyone did their part to achieve that goal, although they ultimately came up one game short as they fell to the Houston Astros in seven games in the World Series.

That does not take away from everything the Dodgers accomplished, though, as they had the most wins in baseball at 104, which is also the most for the franchise since 1953 when they still played in Brooklyn.

With the year coming to an end, the Dodgers put together a highlight video recapping all of the team’s best moments throughout the year, which there were plenty of, via the team’s Twitter account:

The Dodgers had 10 walk-off wins throughout the regular season, nine of which were delivered by a different player, serving as further indication of the team’s depth. Logan Forsythe was the lone player to have two walk-off hits.

Perhaps none of them were more memorable than on April 29 against the Philadelphia Phillies when Los Angeles went into the bottom of the ninth inning trailing by three runs.

Yasiel Puig, Cody Bellinger and Justin Turner led off the inning with back-to-back-to-back home runs, and then later in the inning, Adrian Gonzalez drove in the winning run on an infield single to cap off the improbable comeback victory.

The Dodgers’ postseason run also had plenty of memorable moments, as they swept the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Division Series and then made quick work of the Chicago Cubs, eliminating them in five games in the Championship Series.

In Game 2 of the NLCS, Turner hit the second postseason walk-off home run in franchise history, as he took John Lackey deep to center field.

Los Angeles returns most of its core nucleus in 2018, so they will look to not only win the NL West for the sixth consecutive season but also to return to the World Series and avenge their 2017 loss.
