Dodgers Highlights: Russell Martin, Justin Turner, Max Muncy & David Freese Lead Offensive Outburst In NLDS Game 3 Win Over Nationals

After a lackluster offensive performance in Game 2 of the National League Division Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers bounced back in a big way in Game 3, coming from behind to defeat the Washington Nationals, 10-4, to take a 2-1 series lead.

The first handful of innings Sunday night looked a lot like Game 2, as Juan Soto hit a two-run home run off Hyun-Jin Ryu in the first inning and Anibal Sanchez shut the Dodgers out for four frames.

Los Angeles loaded the bases in the first inning, but A.J. Pollock struck out swinging on an inside changeup.

Ryu was able to settle in and get through five innings with only two runs allowed though, which allowed the offense to come back. Max Muncy got things started when he launched a solo home run off Sanchez in the fifth inning, his second of the series.

The sixth inning was the big one for the Dodgers offense as they got to Patrick Corbin, scoring seven runs all with two outs to take the lead for good.

Cody Bellinger got the rally started with a leadoff single, which marked his first hit of the series. After David Freese singled to put two runners on, Russell Martin came up clutch with a two-out double to bring home two and give L.A. a 3-2 lead.

Kiké Hernandez then hit a two-run double of his own, and Justin Turner capped off the rally with a three-run home run. Turner had a strong night at the plate, going 3-for-6 with a home run, double and single as he continues to build on his postseason legacy.

Martin then added some more insurance in the eighth when he hit a towering two-run home run off Hunter Strickland to make it a 10-4 game, which was more than enough for the Dodgers bullpen to close it out.

Freese was on base for that home run after hitting a leadoff double. He came off the bench and provided the Dodgers with three big hits in as many at-bats.
