The Los Angeles Dodgers jumped on Mike Foltynewicz and never let up in a 12-1 win over the Texas Rangers. The Dodgers extended their winning streak to four games and kept pace with the National League West-leading San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers broke the game open in the first inning behind home runs from Max Muncy, Justin Turner and Gavin Lux. Muncy and Turner went back-to-back, marking the fourth time L.A. has done so this season.

However, the first inning wasn’t all celebrations as Muncy was removed due to right side tightness.

The Dodgers added to their lead in the third inning on Lux’s RBI double and Clayton Kershaw helped his cause with a run-scoring base hit. Kershaw later added a second hit and finished the night 2-for-3.

Home runs by Albert Pujols and Will Smith extended the Dodgers’ lead to 10-0 in the fourth inning.

Cody Bellinger added to the team’s big night with an RBI single and Chris Taylor brought a run in on a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded. Bellinger wound up seeing an early exit as well due to what he appeared to say was a cramp in his left leg and the Dodgers announced as left hamstring tightness.

Kershaw ties Dodgers, MLB record

Kershaw held the Rangers to one unearned run over six innings, bouncing back from consecutive subpar outings. He also tied a Dodgers franchise and MLB record by recording four strikeouts in the fourth inning.
