The Los Angeles Dodgers endured a rough start to their road trip but finished it by coming from behind for a 10-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants that clinched a series win at Oracle Park.

Trailing 3-0 after the second inning, the Dodgers began their comeback with a James Outman RBI single and Mookie Betts run-scoring double in the fourth. Max Muncy then added to his remarkable success at Oracle Park with a solo home run in the fifth inning that tied the game.

Taylor Rogers issued three consecutive walks to load the bases with nobody out in the sixth, and Freddie Freeman drew the Dodgers’ fourth in a row to give them a decided lead.

Freeman’s 15-pitch walk was the longest plate appearance by a Dodgers player since Justin Turner’s 16-pitch walk on May 26, 2014.

The longest before that in Dodgers franchise history was Alex Cora memorably ending an 18-pitch at-bat with a home run on May 12, 2004.

Trayce Thompson capped off the Dodgers’ scoring with a two-run home run off former teammate Ross Stripling in the seventh inning that traveled an estimated 426 feet.

Clayton Kershaw leads Dodgers pitching effort

The Giants benefitted early from multiple bloopers and were 5-for-11 against Kershaw through two innings. However, they went 0-for-11 after that as he got through the sixth inning. Kershaw earned the 199th win of his career.

Yency Almonte induced soft contact as well but gave up a run in the seventh inning, Evan Phillips struck out three in the eighth, and Phil Bickford surrendered a solo home run in the ninth.
