Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman were out of the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup the day after the team clinched their 10th National League West title in the past 11 seasons, but the offense forged ahead thanks to Jason Heyward, Austin Barnes and James Outman each hitting a home run en route to a 6-1 win against the Seattle Mariners.

Heyward, starting in right field for Betts and batting in Freeman’s familiar No. 2 spot in the lineup, provided L.A. with an early lead on his solo home run. That marked the start of a big day for the veteran outfielder, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles on Saturday.

Kolten Wong extended the Dodgers’ lead in the second inning with an RBI single and Barnes followed that with a line-drive homer.

J.P. Crawford’s RBI base hit put Seattle on the board in the bottom of the second, but Heyward’s single to bring in Amed Rosario created more separation in the fourth inning.

Outman then hit his second home run of the series to effectively put the game away at 6-1 in the eighth inning. The Dodgers swept the Mariners on their short road trip and now begin a seven-game homestand comprise of series with the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants.

Dodgers facing Eduardo Rodgriguez

Eduardo Rodriguez is scheduled to start for the Tigers on Monday in his first time facing the Dodgers since vetoing a trade between the two teams at the deadline.

Rodriguez cited family reasons and comfortability, but he reportedly sought to be compensated as well for waiving a limited no-trade clause that included the Dodgers.
