Going into play Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers had won four games in a row at Dodger Stadium on a walk-off, which was a franchise-first. The improbable streak appeared to be coming to an end, but the Dodgers did it once again to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With the game tied at four in the bottom of the 10th inning, Cody Bellinger hit an absolute missile three-quarters of the way up the pavilion in right field to give the Dodgers another walk-off victory and two-game sweep of the Diamondbacks.

The first three walk-offs against the Colorado Rockies last week were all on home runs by rookies. The Dodgers got away from that on Tuesday night as Bellinger won the game on a bases-loaded walk, but he made sure to get back to the home-run variety on Wednesday.

Los Angeles became just the fifth team since 1920 to win five straight home games all on walk-offs.

Earlier in the night, Bellinger took Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly deep, so it was a multi-home run game for the leading National League MVP candidate. He now has 29 long balls on the season, which is the most in franchise history before the All-Star break as he passed Gil Hodges’ (1951) and Duke Snider’s (1955) marks of 28.

Walker Buehler turned in another solid outing, giving up just three runs in seven innings. He struck out nine without issuing a walk. Buehler also contributed to his own cause with an RBI single in the second inning.

After Kenley Jansen gave up a home run to Carson Kelly in the ninth inning, the Dodgers found themselves trailing with only three outs to work with.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo went to his closer Greg Holland despite him walking four straight batters to blow the save the night before. And for the second straight night, the Dodgers got to Holland.

Kiké Hernandez hit a leadoff double and then scored on a single by Matt Beaty to tie the game and send it to extras, setting the stage for Bellinger to win it with his first career walk-off home run.
