The Los Angeles Dodgers have won games in a variety of ways in 2020, and they added a walk-off to that list on Saturday night, earning a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies to take another series.

The Dodgers currently are the only team in baseball to not yet lose a series this season. They lead the Majors with 21 wins and a +71 run differential.

With the game tied on Saturday night, Cody Bellinger led off the bottom of the ninth inning and hit the first walk-off home run of the season. Off the bat, Bellinger didn’t know he got it, and didn’t realize it cleared the fence as it barely went over the outstretched glove of Rockies right fielder Sam Hilliard.

Bellinger has come alive at the plate over the last week, and now has seven home runs to go along with a .209/.287/.427 batting after a 1-for-3 effort that also included a walk.

The Dodgers got the scoring started early on Friday as Mookie Betts walked to lead off the game and then scored from first on a single by Corey Seager after the latter got in a rundown between first and second base.

L.A. doubled their lead to 2-0 in the second inning when Chris Taylor hit a solo home run to the opposite field, his second of the season.

With the Dodgers trailing in the 3-2 in the seventh, Taylor drove in the tying run on a double-play ball with the bases loaded. That was set up by Justin Turner being hit by a pitch, AJ Pollock doubling and Bellinger walking to load the bases.

May turns in another solid outing for Dodgers

Dodgers rookie Dustin May got the start on the mound against the Rockies and continued his encouraging season. He only struck out one batter in five innings of work, but he also allowed just two hits and a run on 81 pitches and exited with the Dodgers leading.

The bullpen wasn’t as lights out as they usually are, but they buckled down late and put the team in a position to earn the walk-off win.
