The Los Angeles Dodgers will honor their 2017 National League pennant-winning team with a pregame video tribute and NL championship ring ceremony prior to the Saturday, March 31 game against the San Francisco Giants. First pitch at Dodger Stadium is set for 6:10 p.m. PT.

Although the year ultimately ended in heartbreak, the 2017 Dodgers accomplished plenty en route to reaching the franchise’s first World Series since 1988. Their 104-58 record was best in the Majors, and the fifth consecutive NL West title extended division and franchise records.

Moreover, the Dodgers had a 43-7 stretch that was the first such streak since the 1912 New York Giants, and their total wins were most in Los Angeles history and tied with the 1942 Brooklyn team for second-most in franchise history.

Their 57-24 record at Dodger Stadium also set a new franchise record. The 1953 Brooklyn team, which won the NL pennant, holds the organization’s all-time record with 60 home wins.

The NL pennant was the Dodgers’ 22nd in franchise history, which trails the San Francisco Giants (23) for most all-time. Los Angeles made relatively quick work of the defending champion Chicago Cubs to claim their first pennant since 1988,

The series-clinching Game 5 win at Wrigley Field was punctuated by Kiké Hernandez’s historic three-home run performance.

Along with honoring last year’s team during the four-game set with the Giants, the Dodgers will celebrate their 60 years in Los Angeles on Opening Day, which will include a salute to the 1988 championship team.

Kirk Gibson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the season-opener, and a bobblehead depicting his home run celebration after hitting a home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series will be distributed to the first 40,000 ticketed fans on Friday, March 30.

The series will conclude with the finale being played in front of a national audience as part of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball programming.
