In addition, Alvarez and Betts were each honored with their fifth career All-MLB selection, while Judge and Ohtani picked up an All-MLB selection for a fourth consecutive year. With the selections of Jackson Merrill, Mason Miller and Paul Skenes, there have now been nine rookies named to an All-MLB team, joining Pete Alonso (2019 1st team); Alvarez (2019 2nd team); Mike Soroka (2019 2nd team); Devin Williams (2020 2nd team); Julio Rodríguez (2022 2nd team); and Corbin Carroll (2023 1st team).

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees had a Major League-leading two first-team selections, while the San Diego Padres had a Major League-high four selections across both teams. The Houston Astros, Dodgers and Kansas City Royals each had three players selected across both teams, while the Guardians, Philadelphia Phillies and Yankees each had two selections across the two teams.

Fourteen of the selections hail from countries outside the 50 United States (43.8%), spanning six different countries and territories, while 19 of the 32 selections (59.4%) are players with diverse backgrounds.

The first and second team selections were determined by a combination of fan voting and voting from a decorated panel of media members, broadcasters, former players and other officials throughout the game.
