2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour: Landon Knack Visits East Valley Animal Shelter

The 2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour began Monday morning with Landon Knack, his fiancée Anisa Herlinda, and volunteers from Bank of America and the Los Angeles Dodgers visited the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys.

The group assisted with cleaning kennels, feeding animals and taking them outside for exercise in order to alleviate shelter staff that has faced heightened pressure and responsibilities since multiple communities were ravaged by wildfires.

“Obviously the community, as much as they support us, to be able to give back a little bit and help anywhere you can is a great feeling,” Knack said. “To be able to connect and thank everyone for what they do for us and make sure they know we have their back too.

“With everything that’s been going on, we’re in a position where we can help out and be able to give back a little bit. It’s been a great feeling to be able to come out here, see the community come together through this crisis and be able to help each other.”

The Dodgers and Bank of America made a $10,000 donation to the Los Angeles Animal Services, and the 2024 World Series trophy was present for a photo opportunity as part of their visit.

“We’re really lucky. During the tour, we partner with Bank of America, and we were able to present Los Angeles Animal Services with a $10,000 check to help continue to support the work that they’re doing,” Dodgers vice president of government and community affairs Kristin McCowan said.

“This shelter, along with all the shelters throughout Los Angeles, really rely on donations as well as people volunteering and stepping up to help support them. This shelter in particular has served hundreds of animals that were impacted by the wildfires, and they’re still doing that.

“They’re actually expecting another group of animals that are going to come in and be housed here for some time. So we were able to help, with Bank of America, to prepare for that. And what’s really great is one of our partners, Tavo and Nuna, their Tavo dog carseats are beautiful.

“They donated 100 of those carseats, so people that are coming to adopt these animals, will also be able to go home with this amazing car career that is really the Cadillac of dog carseats. So thank you to Tavo and Nuna, thank you so much to Bank of America.

“We’re so happy we were able to do this and give back to the community, and shine a light on some of the great service opportunities that are out there for all Angelenos.”

Dodgers Love LA tour 2025

The Dodgers’ week of community service continues Tuesday with a visit to a local food bank and partnering with Worthy of Love for a birthday party at Dodger Stadium with children and families from the Salvation Army in Westlake Village, Hope Gardens, Angeles House and Union Rescue Mission selected to attend.

Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation personnel, front office members, Spanish radio broadcaster Luis Cruz and current players are among those who are scheduled to participate in the community tour.

Blake Snell, Hyeseong Kim, Chris Taylor, Tony Gonsolin, Anthony Banda, Ben Casparius, Michael Conforto, Hunter Feduccia, Michael Grove, Kyle Hurt, Emmet Sheehan, Alex Vesia, Gavin Stone and Bobby Miller are players participating in various stops on the Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour 2025.

Following the week of giving back, DodgerFest is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1, in the Dodger Stadium parking lots. DodgerFest tickets sold out, but parking must be purchased and is still available for $10.
