2019 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour Schedule: Dave Roberts Serving As Grand Marshal, Justin Turner Day & More

Monday marks the start of the Los Angeles Dodgers holding their 16th annual community service week, with events leading up to FanFest at Dodger Stadium on Saturday. Several current and former players are due to participate in the 2019 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour.

The week of community outreach and fan appreciation is comprised of nine events and visits throughout the Southland.

While the franchise is using the week to highlight their commitment to the community, the City of Los Angeles is recognizing Justin Turner and his dedication to giving back. As such, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, will be proclaimed Justin Turner Day during a ceremony at City Hall.

This year’s Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour kicks off with manager Dave Roberts serving as the grand marshal of the 34th annual Kingdom Day Parade.

Complete Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour schedule and details are provided below.

Date: Monday, Jan. 21

Event: Kingdom Day Parade

Time: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Location: South Los Angeles

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will serve as the grand marshal of the 34th annual Kingdom Day Parade. The three-mile route will begin at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue and proceed west on King to Crenshaw Boulevard and then south to Vernon Avenue, where a post-parade festival will be held at Leimert Park.

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 22

Event: Justin Turner Day at City Hall

Time: 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Location: Los Angeles City Hall

In recognition of Justin Turner’s impact on the local community, the Los Angeles City Council will proclaim Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, as Justin Turner Day in Los Angeles.

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 22

Event: Enlistment Ceremony

Time: 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Dodger Stadium

Justin Turner and the Dodgers will host an enlistment and re-enlistment ceremony at Dodger Stadium for all branches of the military. The new enlistees will be treated to lunch following the ceremony.

Date: Wednesday, Jan. 23

Event: California Wildfires First Responders Luncheon/Batting Practice

Time: 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Dodger Stadium

Dodgers players will host over 350 firefighters who battled wildfires in Southern California for lunch and batting practice at Dodger Stadium.

Date: Wednesday, Jan. 23

Event: Joe Kelly, Smart & Final Surprise

Time: 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Smart & Final location

Dodgers relief pitcher Joe Kelly will make a surprise appearance at a Smart & Final location.

Date: Thursday, Jan. 24

Event: Blue’s Pet Family Photo Day

Time: 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park, 17550 Victory Blvd/, Van Nuys, CA 91406

Joc Pederson will take photos with fans and their dogs, who will receive a Dodgers dog t-shirt.

Date: Thursday, Jan. 24

Event: Military Surprise

Time: 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Local Military Base

Austin Barnes and Kiké Hernández will surprise military members and their families traveling to/from deployment from a local base, delivering snacks and goodies.

Date: Friday, Jan. 25

Event: UCLA Health visit at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital

Time: 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Location: UCLA Medical Center and Mattel Children’s Hospital

Scott Alexander, Matt Beaty, Cody Bellinger, Walker Buehler, J.T. Chargois, Dylan Floro, David Freese, Rocky Gale, Kenta Maeda, Adam McCreery, Edwin Rios, Keibert Ruiz, Dennis Santana, Josh Sborz, Jaime Schultz, Brock Stewart, Ross Stripling, Chris Taylor, Justin Turner, Alex Verdugo and manager Dave Roberts are expected to attend.

Date: Friday, Jan. 25

Event: Visit with those affected by Borderline mass shooting

Time: 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

Location: Lundring Event Center at California Lutheran University, 130 Overton Ct.

Dodgers players, including Scott Alexander, Matt Beaty, Cody Bellinger, Walker Buehler, J.T. Chargois, David Freese, Ross Stripling, Chris Taylor, Justin Turner, Alex Verdugo and manager Dave Roberts will visit with those affected by the Borderline tragedy in Thousand Oaks, honoring the memory of those lost, comforting survivors and thanking the brave first responders.
